HSPC/CHOL (55:45 mol/mol) Liposomes with Ammonium Gradient (100nm)

HSPC/CHOL liposomes  with ammonium gradient is one of the formulator's choices in pharmaceutical/biotech industry for both formulation feasibility studies and liposomal product development, because HSPC is essentially equivalent to DSPC (HSPC contains about 85 % DSPC 15% DPPC). The main advantages for using HSPC are its lower cost and availability of GMP quality raw materials. HSPC/CHOL liposomes is often used to compare with the PEGylated HSPC/CHOL/mPEG-DSPE.

A drug loaidng battery of 250 mM ammonium sulfate is typically used, however higher concentrations of ammonium sulfate is also ues to achieve increased drug loading capacity and drug retention
